Canny Lam is a Vice President at Crestone Advisors and is responsible for sourcing and executing client engagements. Canny is a dedicated corporate finance and M&A professional specialized in software with over six years of experience in technology investment banking and private equity. Her track record includes executing M&A and private placement transactions that cumulatively exceed $3 billion in enterprise value alongside firsthand operating experience in founding and scaling two software companies. 

Prior to joining Crestone Advisors, Canny served in investment banking roles at Carlsquare, a leading European bank with a focus on technology, and Greif & Co., a boutique investment bank based in Los Angeles. She played a pivotal role in M&A and financing transactions across diverse sectors such as software, business services, consumer & retail, and industrials. 

Canny also previously served as a private equity investor at Brightvision Partners where she spearheaded investment efforts in founder-led enterprise software companies. Canny began her finance career in the M&A group at Telstra, Australia’s largest telecommunications provider. 

Canny holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cognitive Science from the University of California, Berkeley. As a software engineer by training, Canny deftly integrates her technical acumen and expertise into her strategic advisory services.
